Overview

The Student Advisor offers an OTHS student the opportunity to play an active role in the work of the OTHS Endowment Fund and provide a valuable student perspective to its Board of Directors. Serving in an ex-officio (advisory capacity), the Student Advisor participates in discussions, asks thoughtful questions, and shares ideas that help guide the Fund’s mission of supporting excellence at OTHS. Through this experience, the student gains meaningful exposure to nonprofit governance, philanthropy, and community leaders.

Open to students ages 15–18 who are enrolled at OTHS, the position typically follows the academic year. While the Student Advisor does not hold voting rights, their voice contributes significantly to ensuring the Endowment Fund reflects the evolving needs and aspirations of OTHS students.

Purpose

The Student Advisor position offers OTHS students an opportunity to engage directly with the Endowment Fund, contribute their perspective, and gain hands-on experience in community leadership and philanthropy. Students who serve in this position may receive official volunteer service hours for their participation.
